The steps involved in bringing a building back to it's original character are many.
Here, the rooms, and their stored collections, are shrouded to keep them safe from the dust storm that is about to be unleashed. 1960's era carpets are being removed, and at the same time as Kerry is repairing some of the plaster walls in the back of the house.

In these next photos, process begins removing the gummy, old latex paint that was applied in the 60's,
It's at this stage the history marks show, and the linseed oil painted back-splash emerges from under the modern paint that had hidden it for ½ a century. Past window frame repairs also showed... the difference between qualities of dimensional lumber was clear.

Finally, after all the strip down, and retreating with traditional oils, paints and varnishes, Christeah reinstates some of the artefacts from vast collections, dressing the room as though still in function...
