Examples of Mount Making from The Museum of Anthropology...
I was honoured to be asked to join a small team of skilled artisans and technicians working under Carl Schlichtling. We were building the armatures and platforms that both display, and protect, the vast collection of artefacts at The Museum of Anthropology, in Vancouver, BC. Every mount needed to be specific to the particular piece, with a focus not only on seismic security, but beautiful invisibility as well... I have since gone on to work with Carl on several more projects, including The Richmond Oval Olympic Experience Centre, Britannia Mine Museum, and a touring exhibit for the Nekkei National Museum and Cultural Center
